  • Delivery Information: To facilitate delivery, we collect your physical address, including unit numbers, gate codes, and delivery instructions.

  • Payment Information: We do not store your credit card details on our servers. All financial transactions are processed by our secure third-party payment provider (e.g., Stripe). We only retain the transaction ID and the last 4 digits of the card for record-keeping.

  • Device and Technical Data: We automatically collect certain information when you visit the App, including your IP address, device type, operating system, and App usage logs. This helps us troubleshoot bugs and prevent fraud.

3. How We Use Your Information We use the information we collect for the following specific purposes:

  • Order Fulfillment: To prepare your food and ensure it is delivered to the correct address.

  • Communication: To send you real-time status updates regarding your order (e.g., "Order Received," "Out for Delivery") via push notifications, SMS, or email.

  • Customer Support: To assist you with any inquiries or issues regarding your order.

  • Legal Compliance: To maintain financial records as required by Australian tax laws.

  • Marketing (Optional): With your consent, we may send you information about new menus, special offers, or events ("The Taste Movement"). You can opt-out at any time.

4. Sharing of Your Information We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to marketing companies. We only share information with third parties necessary to provide our service:

  • Delivery Partners: We share your name, phone number, and delivery address with our delivery drivers or third-party logistics providers (such as Uber Direct or DoorDash Drive) strictly for the purpose of delivering your meal.

  • Service Providers: We may share data with IT service providers who host our App or process payments, all of whom are bound by confidentiality agreements.

  • Legal Obligations: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or government agency).

5. Location Data If you grant the App permission to access your location, we collect precise location data to help you easily set your delivery address or find our restaurant location. You can disable location services in your device settings at any time and enter your address manually.

6. Data Retention & Account Deletion 6.1. Your Right to Delete Your Account In compliance with Google Play Developer Policies and Australian privacy laws, you have the right to request the deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time. We provide below method for you to exercise this right:

Web-Based Request: If you have uninstalled the App, please visit chakrarestaurant.com.au/delete-account or email us at contact@chakrarestaurant.com.au with the subject line "Request for Account Deletion."

6.2. What Data Will Be Deleted Upon receiving a valid request, we will permanently delete or anonymize your Profile Information (name, email, phone) and Authentication Data within 30 days.

6.3. Data We Must Retain We are required by Australian law to retain Transaction Records (history of purchases and payments) for a minimum of 5 years for tax and accounting purposes. This data will be securely archived and restricted from active use.

7. Data Security We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information. All data transmitted between the App and our servers is encrypted using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated "Last Revised" date and the updated version will be effective as soon as it is accessible.
